THE ODYSSEY PROJECT

An imaginative re-telling of Homer's Odyssey that fuses together a world of color and story and culture stretching from Ancient Greece to Peru to Dublin at the turn of the 20th century. Utilizing various printing techniques plus music, marbling, vintage photography, maps, original writings, book binding, and even soap — yes, soap —The Odyssey Project is unlike any adaptation of this classic piece of Western literature seen before. A reworking of the original project will be available in print soon.

WHAT’S INSIDE:

Contained inside a hand-made portfolio book wrapped in maps of Ancient Greece and the British Isles, the Odyssey Project contains dozens of prints, marbled papers, woodcuts, stamps, linocuts, original writings, printed vintage magazine plates, dry-points, and chine collé etchings. Accompanying it is a cigar-box that houses a bar of Sweny’s Irish lemon soap (featured in James Joyce’s Ulysses), a sprig of eucalyptus, a panel with swatches of sea-green ink used in the project, as well as a hand-made accordion book containing eight specially-made mono-prints with gold-ink and eight companion pieces of writing.
